From below select the operating system on which the WinProxy application will be installed:
1. Click on Control Panel -> Network. Under the Configuration tab, click on your "LAN Adapter" -> Add -> Protocol -> Add -> Microsoft -> TCP/IP -> OK.
- To add NetBEUI to this network card, click on your "LAN Adapter" -> Add -> Protocol -> Add -> Microsoft -> NetBEUI -> OK.
- LAN Adapter means the network card on the WinProxy computer to which you will specify a non-routable IP address for the WinProxy application.

2. Under the Configuration tab check to see if you have installed TCP. It will be in the format of "TCP/IP -> LAN Adapter". If TCP is not there for the LAN adapter, then click on "LAN Adapter" -> Add -> Protocol -> Add -> Microsoft -> TCP/IP -> OK.

3. Once you have done this, click on "TCP/IP for the LAN Adapter" -> Properties.
- Under the IP Address tab, select "Specify an IP address", and enter in a non-routable IP address with a subnet mask. Each machine must have a unique IP address. We recommend using the range 90.0.0.1 to 90.0.0.254 with a subnet mask if 255.255.255.0 which is not routable onto the internet. If you choose the IP address 90.0.0.1 for the WinProxy machine your setup will match all of the technical support examples on our website.

- Under the Gateway tab, enter in the internal IP address of the WinProxy computer.

- Under the DNS tab, select "Enable DNS".
Host: Enter in the name assigned to the client computer. The name is available from Control Panel -> Network -> Identification. Avoid punctuation marks.
Domain: Enter your local domain name. The domain name can be your ISP's domain name, but it is better to use our own. Feel free to make one up (e.g. fred.com, suzie.org). The name does not need to be officially listed with any Internet bodies- since it is on your local, private network. It is invisible to the rest of the world. All of your computers should have the same domain name, and because of the way DNS lookups are made it is best if you have a .com or other standard domain name on the end.
DNS Server Search Order: Enter in the internal IP address of the WinProxy computer only.

4. Click OK -> OK, then reboot/restart your operating system.
1. Click on Control Panel -> Network -> Protocols. Under the Protocols tab, click on Add -> TCP/IP Protocol -> Add -> OK.
- To add NetBEUI to this network card, under the Protocols tab, click on Add -> NetBEUI -> Add -> OK.

2. Under the Protocols tab check to see if you have installed TCP. It will be in the format of TCP/IP Protocol. If TCP is not there, then click on Add -> TCP/IP Protocol -> Add -> OK.

3. Hi-lite TCP/IP Protocol then click on Properties.
